POTM: GLOSSY: The FINALS!
There were three final problems:
SNAPSHOTS
is a collection of 25 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 pictures.
17 folks found valid solutions, with 6 finding solutions with no leftover space.
PRIMAL
consisted of 26 different sized rectangles with prime-sized edges. The page itself
had an aspect ratio over 5.0. 11 folks found solutions, with 3 finding solutions
with no leftover space.
SURPRISE
is a problem constructed so that it would have a
perfect solution without any "stretching"
of the pictures. Nobody found the perfect solution, but 15 people found valid
solutions and 4 found zero-leftover solutions.
